In this article, I will try to define the archaeological activity in Tagdemt in both Rustamid and the modern sections since the first excavation in 1941 and present the most important results, then the second one in 1958-1959 which yielded most notably Islamic pottery and ceramics. The aim is not to present the excavations’ reports or analysis, but rather an attempt to facilitate an archaeological understanding of the site in the current state and to evaluate the archaeological work and for carrying out future work to uncover at least what the sources have transmitted of religious, civil and military buildings
